1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to digital products sold by License Avenue, including software license keys, activation codes, digital subscriptions, downloadable software, and related digital goods.
2. General Rule
Due to the digital nature of the products sold, refunds are not automatic and are reviewed strictly on a case-by-case basis.
Once a digital product has been delivered, displayed, sent, revealed, or made accessible to the customer, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation or refund except where required by law or where a verified fault is attributable to the seller.
3. Cases in Which a Refund May Be Granted
A full or partial refund may be granted only in particular circumstances such as:
- the delivered product was not the product ordered;
- the product was not delivered despite successful payment;
- the license key or activation code is invalid and the defect is verified;
- the delivered product is unusable due to an error attributable to the seller;
- a refund is required by applicable mandatory consumer law.
4. Cases in Which a Refund Will Be Refused
A refund will be refused in particular where:
- the customer purchased the wrong product, edition, version, platform, or duration;
- the customer failed to verify compatibility before purchase;
- the customer ignored region, language, account, or activation restrictions stated on the product page or reasonably foreseeable;
- the product was already delivered and no defect attributable to the seller is established;
- the issue results from misuse, attempted resale, transfer, sharing, or abuse;
- the issue is caused by the customer's device, software environment, network, security settings, or third-party account restrictions;
- the customer opened a payment dispute or chargeback without first contacting support for a good-faith resolution, where abuse is established.
5. Claim Procedure
To request review of a refund claim, the customer must contact: contact@licenseavenue.com
The request must include at least:
- order reference;
- email address used for the order;
- clear description of the issue;
- screenshots or evidence where relevant;
- the exact activation or error message where applicable.
6. Investigation and Verification
License Avenue reserves the right to carry out all reasonable checks before deciding on a refund request, including verification with the supplier, publisher, activation provider, technical logs, anti-fraud data, or transaction history.
The customer must cooperate in good faith and provide any reasonable information needed to assess the claim.
7. Form of Refund
If a refund is accepted, it will generally be made using the original payment method, unless another lawful and appropriate solution is agreed.
In certain cases, replacement of the defective product, issuance of a corrected key, or equivalent resolution may be proposed before any refund.
8. Abuse Prevention
Refund requests that appear fraudulent, abusive, inconsistent, or unsupported may be refused.
License Avenue reserves the right to suspend future orders, block transactions, or refuse service in the event of proven abuse, attempted fraud, or bad-faith use of the refund process.
9. Consumer Rights
This Refund Policy does not exclude any mandatory legal rights applicable under consumer law, including rights relating to legal conformity where such rights apply.
